Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026.
OVERVIEW
Tally & Finch LTD, trading as Sindra, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy and acts as its data controller. We are registered under company number 17396087, with our company address at 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. Privacy enquiries can be sent to info@sindra.co.uk at any time.
This policy explains our handling of information when you browse our website, place an order or contact us. It is a privacy notice and does not require you to waive any rights or agree to optional marketing.
SECTION 1 - INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW IT IS USED
We collect information you provide when ordering, requesting assistance or using available account features. This includes your name, contact details, billing and delivery addresses, order details, messages, return information and any reviews you choose to submit. We also receive payment status, transaction references and delivery updates from the providers involved in your order.
Website systems may record technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type, access times and security logs. We use Google Analytics to understand website visits and interactions, and Google Ads to measure our advertising, subject to the choices described in section 7.
We use information for the following purposes and on the following grounds:
| Purpose | Information used | Basis |
| Process orders, arrange delivery, handle returns and answer purchase enquiries | Contact, order, transaction and delivery details | Performing our contract with you or taking steps you request before purchase |
| Maintain required tax and accounting records | Transaction and invoicing details | Compliance with legal obligations |
| Protect the store, investigate suspected misuse and manage disputes | Relevant transaction, technical and correspondence records | Our legitimate interests in security, preventing loss and resolving claims, balanced against your interests |
| Respond to general enquiries and manage service quality | Contact details and correspondence | Our legitimate interests in providing customer support |
| Send optional promotional communications | Contact details and communication preferences | Your consent |
| Measure website use through Google Analytics | Device, browsing and interaction information | Your consent, as described in section 7 |
| Measure our advertising through Google Ads | Device, browsing, interaction and purchase information, and your email address and phone number in hashed form | Your consent, as described in section 7 |
| Measure sales, costs and advertising results through TrueProfit | Order details and website interaction information | Your consent, as described in section 7 |
Information needed to complete an order is a contractual requirement. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to accept, deliver or support the order. Optional marketing information is not required to purchase.
Retention
We retain order and accounting records to meet applicable tax and accounting requirements and handle relevant claims. Retention is determined by the required record-keeping periods and applicable claim deadlines.
Enquiry records are retained until the matter and any related complaint or dispute have been resolved. Account information is retained while your account remains active, with inactive accounts reviewed for deletion. Security logs are retained for the period needed to detect and investigate security incidents.
Marketing information is retained while your subscription remains active, with inactive subscriptions reviewed periodically. If you unsubscribe, we stop using your information for marketing and retain only the information needed to honour your preference and demonstrate compliance.
Relevant records may be retained longer where necessary for a legal obligation or an ongoing investigation or claim. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required.
SECTION 2 - YOUR CONSENT
How consent is provided
Where we rely on consent, we ask for a specific choice, such as selecting a marketing subscription or accepting an optional cookie category. Placing an order or continuing to browse does not by itself provide consent to optional marketing or tracking.
Information required to fulfil an order is handled on the contractual basis described above, rather than on the assumption that you have consented to every use of your information.
Withdrawing consent
You may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email, change optional tracking choices through the cookie controls, or email info@sindra.co.uk at any time. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. It does not require us to delete records we must retain for another valid purpose, such as accounting or resolving an order dispute.
Your information rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of use or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and may object to direct marketing at any time.
Send requests to info@sindra.co.uk; we may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to extensions or other adjustments permitted by law, which we will explain. Requests are normally free of charge.
Privacy complaints
Contact info@sindra.co.uk if you believe we have mishandled your information. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate, keep you informed and respond without undue delay. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office or another competent supervisory authority.
SECTION 3 - LEGAL DISCLOSURE
We may disclose relevant information where required by law or a valid legal process. We may also share information where necessary and lawful to establish, exercise or defend a claim or investigate suspected fraud. Disclosures are limited to what is appropriate for the purpose; a suspected breach of our Terms of Service does not create an unrestricted right to disclose your information.
SECTION 4 - PLATFORM HOSTING
Our store operates using Shopify, which provides the storefront and order-management infrastructure. Further information is available in Shopify’s Privacy Policy. The platform processes the information needed to provide the storefront, checkout and order-management functions enabled for Sindra. Shopify may also act independently when you use its own consumer services; its notice explains those activities and available choices.
Payment processing
Payments are processed through Shopify Payments and its payment-processing partners. These providers process the payment, billing and transaction information needed to authorise payments, prevent fraud and complete purchases.
We receive transaction information needed to manage your order, handle refunds and maintain accounting records. Further information about Shopify’s handling of personal information is available in Shopify’s Privacy Policy.
Please refer to our Payment Options page for available payment methods.
SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
Where necessary for the purposes above, information is shared with the providers supporting our store, including hosting and payment providers, suppliers fulfilling orders, delivery companies, customer-support providers and professional advisers. Google Analytics receives website interaction information subject to your analytics choice. Its handling of data is explained in Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data information. Google Ads receives information about visits and purchases from our website, subject to your advertising cookie choice. When you place an order, this can include your email address and phone number. These are converted into a one-way code (hashed) before they are sent, so Google can link the purchase to an ad you saw while signed in to a Google account. If you subscribe to our marketing emails, we may also share your email address in hashed form with Google so we can show you relevant Sindra ads, or stop showing them to existing customers. TrueProfit, our profit-reporting tool, receives order details and website interaction information, subject to your analytics and advertising cookie choices; see TrueProfit’s Privacy Policy. If you choose Klarna or Shop Pay Installments at checkout, that provider receives your order and contact details to assess your eligibility, under its own privacy notice.
We limit access to what is needed for each service and use appropriate agreements where a provider processes information on our instructions. Some providers, such as payment companies, may act independently for their own obligations and explain those activities in their privacy notices.
International processing
Our service providers, including Shopify, Google and TrueProfit, may process personal information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, transfers are covered by recognised adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards to protect your information.
Where a transfer requires additional safeguards, we use a recognised adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards and any necessary supplementary measures. You can request information about the arrangements applying to your data, including a copy of relevant safeguards, by emailing info@sindra.co.uk; overseas processing does not remove our responsibilities for your information.
External links
Independent websites linked from our store have their own privacy notices. Our policy continues to cover information we hold, but does not describe another operator's independent collection of information on its website.
SECTION 6 - DATA PROTECTION MEASURES
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including limiting access to those who need it for their work and using secure systems for storage and transmission. No system is completely risk-free. If a security incident affects personal information, we assess it and notify affected people and authorities where required.
Please keep account credentials confidential and do not send full payment-card details or passwords to customer support.
SECTION 7 - COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use the website.
Shopify
Our store is hosted on Shopify. Cookies support functions such as the shopping basket, checkout, account access and security. Cookies strictly necessary to provide these functions do not require consent. Further information is available in Shopify’s Cookie Policy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure website activity, including pages visited and interactions with our store. This may involve cookies and information about your browser and device. We use this information to understand website performance and improve the shopping experience. Further details are available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Google Ads
We use Google Ads to show our products in Google search and shopping results and to measure which ads lead to visits and purchases. With your consent, Google Ads may set cookies and receive information about your visit and purchases. With your advertising consent, we use Google's enhanced conversions, which send a hashed version of the email address and phone number given at checkout so that Google can measure ad results more accurately. If you subscribe to our marketing emails, we may use Google Customer Match to show you, or exclude you from, our ads. Google does not use this hashed data to build its own profiles of you. You can stop Customer Match by unsubscribing from our emails, and you can stop enhanced conversions by rejecting advertising cookies. Further details are available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
TrueProfit
We use TrueProfit to measure sales, costs and the results of our advertising. With your consent, it receives information about pages viewed, basket and checkout activity and purchases. Further details are available in TrueProfit’s Privacy Policy.
Managing Your Preferences
Optional analytics and advertising cookies are used only with your consent. You can accept or reject optional cookies through our cookie banner and change your selection at any time through the website’s cookie preferences.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect features such as the shopping basket or checkout. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from placing an order.
SECTION 8 - UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this policy as our operations or legal obligations change. The revision date appears above. Material changes will be brought to your attention where appropriate, and new consent will be requested where needed. Posting an update does not authorise an otherwise incompatible use of information.
If the business is sold or reorganised, relevant information may be shared with advisers or a successor where necessary and lawful, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.
